When do I need to have my service count locked in?

We’ll get you to the closest package upon booking based on the hair and makeup services that you’re 100% sure about and you’ll have three months prior to wedding day to add additional hair and makeup services, pending timing and availability. We don’t allow downgrades once your agreement is signed, but we welcome upgrades pending timing and availability.

Can I have a hair and makeup preview session before booking?

Our hair and makeup previews are reserved specifically for our booked brides because of demand. It would break our hearts to have you in for an amazing preview session, only to tell you three days later that your date is no longer available!

We do our previews around the two month mark! By that time, all of the aesthetic details of your big day have been finalized, so we can get right to work on your hair and makeup vision and you can see yourself as a bride! You’ll get an email around the 3-4 month mark with our available preview dates.
We’ll determine the official start time around 4 weeks out from wedding day after your final details have been confirmed. On average, with a standard bridal party, we start hair and makeup services anywhere from 7am to 9am. Yes, it might seem early, but after more than ten years in the biz, just trust us that the day goes fast and it’s always a great time!
MU8 is a small team for a reason. Consistent and cohesive, meaning our signature styles are performed consistently across the board no matter who is performing them. BUT this is art and art is subjective and we all have signature styles that we can do and signature styles that light us up! Because we want to honor your vision and our strengths, we use a multi point consult process to determine the best fit for you. First, your inquiry form with your details lets us know your preliminary hair and makeup preferences. Next, you’ll get a questionnaire that dives deep into your hair and makeup comfortability and vision. From there, we can narrow down your best fit for preview and wedding day. No “whoever has a pulse can work” method!
Our brides typically book us anywhere from 6-12 months in advance. In some cases, we can accommodate a smaller booking timeframe, but we want to give you that same MU8 experience that you’ve read about in our reviews. It’s organized. It’s tailored to you. It’s collaborative. The best way to guarantee that is booking within that 6-12 month timeframe.
We’ll check our calendar to be sure that your date is available! If it is, you’ll get an email from us with your proposal / booking link. If you have a few additional questions, there will be a link in the email to book a quick chat! Once you’re booked, you’ll get lots of helpful emails along the way to get you wedding ready with us!
