Hey!
I’m Patrice Dishani. While I feel like a normal gal, I guess I should mention that I’m a Best of Philadelphia–recognized, top-rated, and published makeup artist and licensed esthetician…NBD :). I’ve been in the bridal industry for over ten years. Before that, I was living my best life in Higher Education behind the desk and in the classroom. Because I just feel like your normal, average human, my goal is and always has been to make bridal beauty feel just like me… HUMAN. No Pinterest perfect or unrealistic AI expectations. No industry-coded lingo. Just you and I connecting, communicating, having a blast, and creating something together.
What does MU8 Mean?
The abbreviation for Makeup Artist is MUA (that’s where I started). The number 8 signifies new beginnings and an even exchange of good energy (and if you’ve stalked my IG, you KNOW I’m all about high vibes)! Compared to the average beauty school student, I started a tad later since I was initially a corporate girlie, so building this empire was VERY much a new beginning for me. More importantly, your wedding day is the first day of a brand new beginning for you while we enjoy each other’s energy and you get to experience what was once a new beginning for me whilst in the midst of your new beginning 🎉.
MU8’s Dedication:
I dedicate this amazing top-rated empire to my mom who passed in 2020. Losing my mom truly showed me what the term “everything happens for a reason” meant. I wholeheartedly believe that she gave her life so that I could experience mine. She left me the ability to walk away from education and into the beauty industry full-time. Losing a parent is the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to experience, but it was the very thing that put me here in the position to celebrate your wedding day with you.
To my mom, this statement will NEVER be enough, but: thank you 🤍
